Rick Apicella

is a playwright/actor/director from Pearl River, NY whose work has received national and international praise. Best Play, Best Direction, Best Actor and Best Actress awards for Addicted, a short play about a man trying to end his love affair with the bottle. Commended Play by the BBC for The Legend, an urban fairytale about a boxer who doesn’t speak. Rick’s one-person play The Prodigy was selected for production by the internationally recognized United Solo Festival and produced on Theater Row, NYC. Outside the stage, he can be seen on the television series I Witness, Shadow of Doubt, A Crime to Remember, Shattered and others. Rick is also a member of the Music for Life team in Nyack, NY which brings creative arts therapy to children and young adults with a variety of challenges.
