Bernie Garzia

Bernie is an award-winning writer/producer for theater, industrials, and events. Bernie co-wrote the book and lyrics for the hit Off-Broadway musical The Prince and the Pauper, which ran at the Lamb’s Theatre in 2002 and 2003; and contributed lyrics to A Christmas Survival Guide (both published by Samuel French). He directed the American stage premiere of Israel Horovitz’s Man in Snow, and his work has been on “Sesame Street” and “Nickelodeon;“ at BAM; 92nd Street Y; and Lincoln Center’s Outdoor Festival.  At the Elmwood Playhouse, Bernie performed in Little Shop of Horrors, Into the Woods, Tim, Assassins, The Real Inspector Hound, Death of a Salesman, and Far-Fetched Fables; and directed The Super, Fantastic, Magical Adventures of Bob; and Fools. Bernie also has written several musicals for The Hudson Vagabond Puppets, including Butterfly! and The Mammoth Follies, both currently on tour.
