Derek Tarson (Director / Robert) is pleased to be directing Antrim’s first in-person performance after the pandemic. He has directed Other People’s Money, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Man Who Came to Dinner, and Lost in Yonkers in recent years at Antrim, and he will be directing the upcoming production of the original musical, Hunchback later this year. As an actor, Derek is pleased to be playing the role of Robert in Betrayal in a full production – having played the role in a staged reading of a condensed version of the play in a workshop at Elmwood Playhouse in the 1980s (when he was far too young to appreciate the role). Derek has been seen in multiple roles at Elmwood – one of his favorites being Ben in The Little Foxes in 2019 – and at Antrim – having played Lesgate in Dial M for Murder, Boris Kolenkhov in You Can’t Take It With You, and Beverly Carlton in The Man Who Came to Dinner, among others. Derek is on Antrim’s Board of Directors, and is the Deputy Director of the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County as an attorney representing homeowners to avoid foreclosure.
