Bert is delighted to appear on the Antrim stage for a third time. He previously appeared in Inherit the Wind and in Twelve Angry Jurors. Acting is apparently in Bert’s blood. During the rehearsals for Twelve Angry Jurors, he literally “broke a leg”. Having received no formal training, Bert, an attorney since 1972, has been honing his acting skills in courtrooms (and poker tables) throughout New Jersey for the past 47 years. He has, indeed, learned to “fool some of the people some of the time”. When not doting on his grandchildren, Ilana and Isaac, or spending time with his wife (and real life director) Susan and their children Seth and Meleah, Bert plays golf and is an avid fan of Duke basketball, the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He wishes to thank the director, cast and crew for not only enduring his lack of stage discipline and dramatic training but for giving him this wonderful opportunity to again experience theater from the inside looking out.
